About the Principal

Early Childhood Development Center
Mrs. Loray Dobson, Principal

As ECDC’s new principal, I can’t tell you enough how excited I am to be joining the ECDC family. I would first like to thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education. ECDC is truly a wonderful place and I, along with my staff, have been working hard to make it even better. However, this is only possible with your support!

ECDC prepares students who are beginning their journey to become college and career ready. We begin by building a trusting and collaborative relationship with families, coaching teachers for improved quality of instruction throughout the year, and maximizing resources for interventions and supports for children and families.

The district’s chosen curricula are Creative Curriculum and Second Steps for Early Learning which focuses directly on social and emotional development. To support its implementation here at ECDC, we have an excellent teaching staff as well as an outstanding support staff, who work in many different capacities to support learning.

It is my understanding that one is born with an intended purpose. I believe it is each person’s birthright to lead a meaningful, prosperous and bountiful life. First order of business…EDUCATION. Learning must happen in an environment that is geared toward producing children that are confident, expressive and are academic risk-takers. Together we can make that happen!

Although success is never measured or scored, it is however, determined by one’s own feelings of achievement and the purpose they serve in this life. Those feelings begin in early childhood. So let’s begin planting the seeds and be an effective part of that journey!

My staff and I look forward to working with you!
